YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its All-CAC women's basketball teams on Monday, and Salisbury University junior guards, Anna Hackett and Sarah Seipp, were named to the first and second teams, respectively.
Hackett has been named to the all-conference teams in all three seasons with Salisbury, including a first-team selection in 2012-13 and a second-team selection in 2011-12; she was named the CAC Rookie of the Year in her first season, as well.
This season, the Germantown, Md., native led the CAC in scoring with 16.9 points per game and ranked third with 5.5 assists per game. Hackett led SU in both categories, while jumping into the all-time program ranks, currently sitting No. 10 with 1,241 career points and No. 5 with 384 career assists.
Hackett is just the third Sea Gull to earn three All-CAC selections in her career, joining Jessica LaTour (1996-97 season through 1998-99) and Amy Campion (2000-01 season through 2002-03).
Seipp, in her first season with Salisbury, earned a spot on the all-conference second team. She was second on the team, and tied for fifth in the conference, with 16.2 points per game, while leading the Sea Gulls with 5.3 rebounds per game and 3.5 steals per game; Seipp led the conference in steals with the mark.
The selections for Hackett and Seipp bring the program's total to 28 All-CAC selections with five coming in the past three years under Head Coach Kelly Lewandowski. Sixteen of Salisbury's All-CAC selections all-time have been first-team nods.
