SALISBURY, Md. – Still maintaining just one loss for the season, the Salisbury University women's basketball team continues to climb the national rankings, according to USA Today and D3hoops.com Tuesday afternoon.
The Sea Gulls (14-1, 8-0 CAC) went 2-0 this past week in Capital Athletic Conference play, downing Marymount (Va.) University, 70-57, before traveling to Frostburg State University for a 63-55 victory to remain atop the league standings.
On a current five-game winning streak, Salisbury moved from No. 20 last week in the D3hoops.com poll to No. 17, receiving 216 points. In USA Today coaches' poll, the Gulls moved to No. 17 as well, earning 65 points.
Still maintaining the top three spots again this week are Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, Thomas More College, and Washington University, in that order, all with unblemished records.
