Women's basketball lands No. 18/19 in latest rankings

SALISBURY, Md. – After yet another 2-0 week moving its overall record to 18-1 for the season, the Salisbury University women's basketball team remained in the top 20, D3hoops.com and USA Today announced Tuesday afternoon. 

The Sea Gulls played host to St. Mary's College of Maryland and Southern Virginia University last week, defeating both to remain undefeated and atop the Capital Athletic Conference with a 12-0 record. 

In the D3hoops.com poll, SU held steady at No. 18 for the second-consecutive week, earning 214 points. Previously at No. 20 last week in the USA Today ranking, the Gulls jumped up one spot to No. 19, receiving 54 points. 

The women will look to extend their winning streak to 10 on Wednesday, February 4, as they travel to Christopher Newport University. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
