SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University women's lacrosse senior Megan Wallenhorst was one of the forces behind the Sea Gulls' run to their 16th Capital Athletic Conference championship and the NCAA Regional Final and she continues to receive accolades for her 2016 performance, adding an All-American award from Lacrosse Magazine.
Wallenhorst was named as one of four Division III attacks named to the All-American team from the publication following her 28-goal, 38-assist season. The 38 helpers were second in the Capital Athletic Conference and ranked in the top-40 nationally.
This year, Wallenhorst earned first-team All-CAC honors and was named the league's co-Player of the Year, along with first-team All-Chesapeake Region and a first-team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and she was named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
