Women’s lacrosse holds No. 5 spot in IWLCA poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University held the No. 5 spot for the second week in a row.

Salisbury earned 530 points after picking up two wins and moving to 5-0 on the season. The Sea Gulls beat Rowan University 13-10 on March 6 and followed that up with a dominating 16-4 victory at Washington (Md.) College on March 10.

Gettysburg College received all 25 first-place votes and 625 points to remain at No. 1. The two through four spots also remain the same with The College of New Jersey (598 points), Trinity (Conn.) College (568 points), and Middlebury College (553 points), respectively.

The University of Mary Washington took over the No. 6 spot after improving to 7-0 on the season and receiving 485 points, while York College of Pennsylvania dropped to No. 9 with 403 points. St. Mary's College of Maryland dropped one spot to No. 25 with 55 points.

The Sea Gulls host The College at Brockport on Friday, March 16 at 3 p.m.
