VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse vs. Marymount
The top-ranked Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team remained unbeaten on the season with a 21-3 victory over Marymount University in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon. Krissy Murphy tallied a team-high eight points on five goals and three assists. All five of Murphy’s goals came in the first half, including two off assists from Alissa Talbert. Murphy then opened the second half assisting on three of Salisbury’s first four goals. Murphy and the Sea Gulls outshot Marymount 30-2 in the first half and 55-4 in the game. Emma Skoglund helped Salisbury outscore the Saints 10-1 in the second half with four goals. Skoglund also came up with four draw controls and two groundballs in the game. Skoglund and the Sea Gulls owned the draw control, coming up with 22 to Marymount’s three. Gabby Mongno notched her second hat trick of the year on just three shots in the game. Mongno converted her only free position shot of the game in helping Salisbury go 5-of-11 on the day. Salisbury travels to take on No. 3 The College of New Jersey on Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m.
