Women’s lacrosse checks in at No. 5 in IWLCA poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University dropped one spot to No. 5 in this week's rankings.

The Sea Gulls received 502 points, moving from No. 4 to No. 5 after falling 14-13 in double overtime to then-No. 8 Washington and Lee University.

Gettysburg College remained at No. 1, collecting all 25 first-place votes and 625 points. Fellow Capital Athletic Conference member University of Mary Washington moved up five spots to No. 2 with 572 points. Washington and Lee moved into the No. 3 spot with 570 points, while Franklin & Marshall College checked in at No. 4 with 531 points.

York College of Pennsylvania makes it three CAC teams in the top 10 as they dropped two spots to No. 7 with 443 points.

Salisbury travels to take on No. 23 Rowan University on Wednesday, March 6 at 4 p.m.
