Women’s lacrosse remains at No. 6 in latest IWLCA poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its latest Division III coaches' poll on Monday and Salisbury University stayed at the No. 6 spot in this week's rankings.

The Sea Gulls received 506 points to remain at No. 6 after a 2-0 week in which they defeated then-No. 9 York College of Pennsylvania 10-9 in double overtime and Southern Virginia University 18-1.

The top five spots remained the same, with Washington and Lee University at No. 1, receiving 613 points and 19 first-place votes, Gettysburg College at No. 2 with 600 points and three first-place votes, Middlebury College at No. 3 with 584 points and the final three first-place votes, Franklin & Marshall College at No. 4 with 543 points, and Tufts University at No. 5 with 523 points.

Two other Capital Athletic Conference teams remained in the top 10, with York moving up one spot from No. 9 to No. 8 with 458 points and the University of Mary Washington dropping two spots to No. 9 with 427 points.

Salisbury concludes the regular season on Wednesday, April 24 as it hosts St. Mary's College of Maryland at 4 p.m.
