Strobel, Hutzell named to All-ECAC second team

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its Division III women's lacrosse awards on Thursday and Salisbury University had two players named to the All-ECAC Second Team in Alexis Strobel and Martha Hutzell.

Strobel earns the first All-ECAC honor of her career as she currently ranks second in Division III with 67 assists on the season. The sophomore has added 20 goals on just 29 shots, giving her 87 points on the year. She is currently fifth in program history in single-season assists and eighth in program history in career assists with 90.

Hutzell also earns the first All-ECAC honor of her career. The senior has totaled 17 caused turnovers, 40 groundballs, and 77 draw controls on the season. Her 40 groundballs are good for second on the team, while her 77 draw controls are tops on the squad. She is currently third in program history with 155 career draw controls.
