VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse NCAA Second Round vs. Lebanon Valley
The No. 7 Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team rolled to a 16-3 victory over Lebanon Valley College on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the 2019 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament. Emma Skoglund helped the Sea Gulls jump out to a 5-0 lead in the opening 18 minutes of play, tallying two goals to bring her season total to 44, which is tops on the team. Gianna Demato also recorded two goals, including two of the first three in the game for the Sea Gulls. Demato was one of six players to score two goals, while 10 players in all recorded a marker. Alexis Strobel tallied a team-high four points on two goals and two assists. Strobel recorded a goal in each half, helping Salisbury take an 8-2 lead at halftime before outscoring the Dutchmen 8-1 in the second half. Salisbury will host Colorado College in the regional semifinals on Saturday, May 18 at 11:30 a.m.
