The fifth ranked Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team picked up its third straight win on Tuesday evening with a 16-7 victory over Meredith College. After Meredith made it 3-3 midway through the first half, Taylor Poore started an 8-0 run for Salisbury. Poore was one of five Sea Gulls with at least two goals in the game. Gabby Mongno, who led Salisbury with three goals on the night, scored the final goal of the first half to push the lead to 9-3. Mongno added an assist to give her a team-high four points in the game while adding one caused turnover and two draw controls. Emma Skoglund was one of four players to tally two goals in the game, including this nice backhanded shot. Courtney Fegan added two goals, both of which came off assists from Alexis Strobel, who tied Mongno with a team-high four points, which all came on assists. Salisbury returns to action on Friday, March 15 at 1:30 pm as the Sea Gulls host Plymouth State University.
