The fifth-ranked Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team returned home to face Washington College on Saturday, March 9, defeating the Shorewomen 15-8 in non-conference action. Julie Talbert led Salisbury with four goals in the game, including the first two of the afternoon. Taylor Poore registered three goals on the day, including this one to put the Sea Gulls up 5-1. Poore then closed the first half with a free position goal to put Salisbury up 9-3 before adding her third in the second half. Alexis Strobel tied Talbert with a team-high four points in the game, tallying one goal and three assists. Gabby Mongno added two goals on the afternoon, with one in each half. She has now registered multiple goals in four of five games this season. Salisbury is back in action on Tuesday, March 12 when it hosts Meredith College at 7 p.m.
