Chase McClure

Chase McClure enters her sixth season on Salisbury’s coaching staff in 2025-26. She spent two years as a graduate assistant coach during the program’s transition from the Jill Stephenson era to the Nate Parsley era. Throughout her time at Salisbury, McClure has helped both the men’s and women’s teams climb the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and NCAA rankings – most notably during the historic 2024–2025 season, which saw the women win their first-ever NJAC Championship and the men achieve their highest conference finish, placing third.

2024–2025 Season Highlights

McClure played a key role in assisting the women’s team to a perfect 7-0 NJAC record and their first conference title. The team broke 49 program records, 26 Maggs Pool records, and set four new NJAC conference records. They also achieved five NCAA B-cuts, earned two NCAA All-American honors, and finished the season ranked No. 24 nationally by the CSCAA.

On the men’s side, McClure helped guide the team to their best NJAC finish ever, taking third place and winning their first NJAC relay title in the 400 freestyle. The men broke 45 program records, 30 Maggs Pool records, achieved eight NCAA B-cuts, and won the Yellow Jacket Invitational. They concluded the season ranked No. 19 nationally by the CSCAA.

Coaching Career

Over her time as an assistant coach, McClure has seen swimmers break 174 program records and 73 Maggs Pool records. She has coached 68 All-NJAC selections and mentored Salisbury’s first women’s NCAA All-American, Sydney McCallie. McClure was also part of the staff honored as NJAC Women’s Coaching Staff of the Year in both 2023-24 and 2024-25. She also handles a significant portion of the teams’ social media and graphics.

McClure has played a crucial role in developing the culture and identity of the Salisbury women’s team. What started with a large group of mainly inexperienced underclassmen, she mentored those to become great leaders among their many talents in the pool. McClure has coined the term “Wolfpack” to describe their team camaraderie and leans heavily into the Rudyard Kipling quote, “For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.”

A proud Salisbury alumnus and standout swimmer from 2018 to 2020, McClure is a two-time graduate of the Perdue School of Business. She currently works full-time at D3Corp, a full-service marketing agency based in Ocean City, Md.
