Tyler Linscott was named the Sea Gulls' head Men's and Women's Tennis coach and Tennis Center Director in October 2025.

I can't wait to get to work with our student-athletes and be part of a community that values excellence both on and off the court. Linscott succeeds longtime Sea Gull boss
Randy Halfpap '97, who retired following the 2024-25 season after 26 years leading the program. Under Halfpap's direction, the SU men and women combined to win 589 dual matches and produced five Salisbury Athletics Hall-of-Famers.
"Tyler's energy, experience, and commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the tennis court make him a perfect fit for Salisbury," said Polizzi. "He understands what it takes to compete at a high level while building a positive, student-centered program. We're excited to see the impact he'll make as he leads our tennis programs into their next chapters."
Linscott arrives at Salisbury after a successful one-year stint as the assistant Women's Tennis coach at Washington & Lee in 2024-25. During his lone season in Lexington, the Generals posted an 18-6 record, went 10-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play, won the ODAC Tournament championship, reached the NCAA Tournament Round of 16, and ascended as high as No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings.
Before W&L, Linscott was Director of Tennis at Willamette University from 2022-24, where he served as head coach of both the men's and women's teams. He has also spent time in assistant roles at Amherst College and Linfield College. Linscott also boasts experience as an assistant coach for Team USA Wheelchair Tennis.
Linscott began his collegiate playing career at Whittier College from 2013-16 before transferring to Linfield, where he earned First-Team All-Northwest Conference honors as a singles and doubles player. A native of Tucson, Ariz., Linscott completed his B.A. in Education from Linfield in 2018.
