YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards and Salisbury University sophomore Michelle Conrad was tabbed as the women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Conrad posted two shutouts this week – a partial shutout in a 4-0 win over Wesley College and a solo clean sheet as the Sea Gulls defeated St. Mary's (Md.) College 1-0 to clinch the conference regular season title. With those conference wins, Salisbury will have home-field advantage throughout the CAC tournament.
The Smithtown, N.Y., native stopped three St. Mary's shots to pick up the win over the Seahawks. For the season, Conrad has six complete-game and has been a part of two combined shutouts as well.
Salisbury wraps up its regular season tomorrow, heading to Eastern University. That match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
