FREDRICKSBURG, Va. –The Salisbury University women's soccer team shut out the Mary Washington Eagles, 1-0, on the road on Wednesday to remain unbeaten in Captial Athletic Conference (CAC) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the 21st minute, Mary Washington's goalkeeper misplayed a ball and Ally Goetz was able to fire into the net from 25 yards out.
  • The Sea Gulls kept the pressure up in the first half to register seven shots and maintaining pressure but couldn't find the back of the net again.
  • Mary Washington looked to tie the game in the early parts of the second half but Emma Hill made a pair of great saves in the first 10 minutes of the game.
  • Salisbury continued to control possession throughout the rest of the second half to seal the victory.
