Hill collects fourth CAC weekly honor of season

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – For the fourth time this season, Salisbury University junior netminder Emma Hill was named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Hill was in net for a pair of shutout wins for Salisbury to extend their unbeaten streak to 13 games and earn their 11th clean sheet of the season. Hill saved nine shots in a 1-0 overtime victory on Wednesday, Oct. 23 against Mary Washington.

Hill collected the CAC Player of the Week award on Sept. 3, Sept. 16 and Oct. 7. The women's soccer team has totaled seven CAC weekly awards this season.

Salisbury will head south across the Bay Bridge-Tunnel on Wednesday, Oct. 30 when they face the No. 8 Christopher Newport Captains in a pivotal CAC contest. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
