SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University volleyball program released its 2019 season schedule on Tuesday, which is highlighted with an opening weekend tournament hosted right here on the Eastern Shore, the Sea Gull Classic.
The maroon and gold will play four matches in two days opening the season against Thiel College and Susquehanna University on Friday, August 30. The Sea Gulls will close out the weekend against Clark University and Muhlenberg College on Saturday, August 31.
The team will then hit the road for a month long road trip traveling to four different schools, taking part in three different tournaments, and squaring off against 11 different opponents. The month-long trip will total 1,608 miles and is highlighted with matches against Randolph-Macon College at the Randolph-Macon Invitational, Stevenson University, and University of California Santa Cruz at the Arcadia Classic.
The trip will come to end at Southern Virginia University on September 28 when the team will open Capital Athletic Conference play against the Knights.
Salisbury will host four of its next five matches at home against The University of Mary Washington before hosting three straight home matches from October 9 to October 12 against York College of Pennsylvania, Christopher Newport University, and Stockton University.
The Sea Gulls will host St. Mary's College of Maryland for homecoming on October 19 before closing out their regular season home matches with Southern Virginia on October 26.
