GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its Academic All-District volleyball teams on Thursday and Salisbury University sophomore Amanda Chew has been named to the Division III – District 2 First Team.
The Academic All-District honor is just the latest in a number of awards earned by Chew in her second year at Salisbury. The outside hitter has also picked up two Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Offensive Player of the Week awards this season while also being named to the All-CAC First Team after leading the league with 412 total kills and 3.68 kills per set.
An interdisciplinary Studies major focusing on visual communications and graphic design, Chew carries a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and has made the Dean's List twice. She is a member of several on-campus organizations such as Crusade for Christ (CRU) and Future Christian Athletes (FCA). She also received a nomination to be a Presidential Citizen Scholar.
