SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University cross country program announced its 2019 season schedule on Thursday, which features eight total meets including the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Mideast Regional Championships and NCAA Division III National Championships.
The Sea Gulls will host two home meets throughout the season starting with the opening weekend meet, the Salisbury University Fall Classic at Winter Place Park on Saturday, August 31. The maroon and gold will also host the annual Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday, October 5.
Salisbury will take to the road for four meets starting with the second meet of the season at Kutztown University on September 14 for the Division II/III Challenge. The program will then shift their sights south and travel to Virginia, to the campus of Shenandoah University for the Hornet Harrier Invitational.
In a lead up to the Capital Athletic Conference Championships the Sea Gulls will travel to Hood College for the Hood College Invitational on October 19. The program will then, along with all the other CAC schools, converge on York College of Pennsylvania for 2019 CAC Cross Country Championships on November 2.
The top runners will earn the right to advance to the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships at Lehigh University on November 16, with the best of the best advancing to Louisville, Kentucky for the NCAA Division III National Championships at E.P. "Tom Sawyer" State Park on November 23.
