Mike Steinen

Mike Steinen is a Salisbury Alum and was a member of the Sea Gull Men's Soccer team from 1999-2002.  During his time the team won 3 conference championships and advanced to the NCAA tournament 3 times, reaching the Elite 8 in 1999.  In 2000 the team was 2nd in the country with 89 goals for and in 2002 they led the country in both goals against (7) and goals against average (.37).


Unrecruited out of High School, Steinen walked onto the Sea Gull squad in 1999.  He became a 2 time captain, 2 time 1st team all conference player, and in 2002 was voted 1st team all region while being 1 of 3 defenders to make 1st team All American.  In 2017 he was inducted to the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame.


He currently resides in Ocean City, MD where he works in the hospitality industry and devotes as much of his free time as he can to the Salisbury program.
