Sea Gulls swept by Cardinals

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Salisbury University volleyball team fell, 3-0, to Catholic University on Wednesday evening in a Capital Athletic Conference game on the road. The Sea Gulls (9-5, 1-1 CAC) couldn't get much going all night long as they lost 30-20, 30-13, 30-27.

Salisbury only managed 27 kills for the match, after averaging over 12 a game.

Sophomore Jamie Marzocchi led the Sea Gulls with 17 digs, while senior Abbey Petrecca had a team-high 20 assists.

Salisbury will return to action this weekend, September 22 and 23, as they host the 2006 Salisbury University Invitational Volleyball Tournament at the Maggs Center. The first game is set for Friday, at 4 p.m., as the Sea Gulls take on Richard Stockton.
