University baseball team cruised to its eighth straight victory
Thursday afternoon with an 8-0 shutout of Washington College in a
non-conference game.

led off the game with a double to left field and later scored on an
RBI sacrifice fly from Andrew Jensen.
The Sea Gulls added another run in the second as Mark
Bostwick reached on a single and later scored on a

scattered five hits and struck out four.
Salisbury added insurance runs in the third inning as Jensen,
the CAC Player of the Week, hit his first homerun of the season to
give the Sea Gulls a 3-0 lead.
SU tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning, one in the
seventh and two in the ninth to cap off the shutout.
Washington (0-1) had a multi-hit game from Brian Kramer who
finished the contest 2-for-4.
The Sea Gulls return to action at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, as
they host No. 10 Montclair State University in game one of the
two-day series at Sea Gull Field.
