DANBURY, Conn. – The Salisbury University baseball team earned a pair of major awards from the
Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and placed three players on the 2026 All-ECAC Team, as revealed by the organization on Friday morning.
Outfielder
Nathan Tondreault was recognized as ECAC Rookie of the Year, while right-hander
Aidan Brinsfield took home ECAC Pitcher of the Year. Joining Tondreault and Brinsfield on the All-ECAC Team was third baseman
Jackson Inman.
Tondreault (Fr. – Oakton, Va.) adds the ECAC's top rookie honor to a 2026 haul that includes a consensus All-Region nod, D3baseball.com Region Rookie of the Year, and Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Player and Rookie of the Year. Through the end of NCAA Super Regional play, he boasts a .378/.493/.651 slash line with 13 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs, 56 runs, 23 stolen bases, and a 1.144 OPS. Tondreault ranks top-20 nationally in walks (40) and owns one of just 16 10-homer seasons in Sea Gull program history.
Brinsfield [Jr. – Salisbury, Md. (Parkside)] is the ECAC's top hurler after posting a 10-3 record with a 2.61 ERA, one complete game, 26 walks, and 74 strikeouts over 96.2 innings. Brinsfield, who leads Division III with 16 starts and ranks top-40 in wins, strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP, has also been named C2C Pitcher of the Year, Consensus Region Pitcher of the Year, and Consensus All-America this month.
Inman (So. – Damascus, Md.) makes yet another postseason squad after earning First-Team honors from the C2C and both major All-Region ballots. He is slashing .371/.465/.724 with 15 doubles, three triples, 13 homers, 59 RBIs, 57 runs, 13 steals, and an OPS of 1.189 while starting every game at third base and hitting third in the lineup.
Now over 80 years old, the ECAC includes over 200 member schools across all three NCAA levels in order to enhance the experience of student-athletes throughout the Northeastern United States.
Tondreault, Brinsfield, Inman, and the rest of the third-seeded Sea Gulls continue play at the 2026 Division III College World Series on Saturday against second-seeded Rowan at 5 p.m. Salisbury will need to win to extend their season after dropping a 5-1 decision to sixth-seeded Endicott on Friday night.
