SALISBURY, Md. - The rain pounded the Henry S.
Parker Athletic Complex on Friday afternoon but the Sea Gull

team hosted their 12th annual event featuring 10 teams from
Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
The Sea Gulls swept their two games by a combined score of 21-0.
Salisbury defeated Cabrini College 16-0 in five innings in the
first game and quickly started the second game with Allegheny
College and won 4-0.
Rain is forecasted for the rest of Friday evening into Saturday.
The status of Saturday's games will be announced on Saturday
morning. There will be a modified schedule for Saturday since two
teams have returned home Friday.
Salisbury (7-3) flexed its muscle against Cabrini as the Sea
Gulls bashed three home runs against the Cavaliers and scored 13
runs in the third inning. Sophomore All-American Kelly
Waskewicz (3-for-5, four RBIs) slugged two home runs in
back-to-back at-bats for the Sea Gulls. The two jacks are
Waskewicz's first of the season. She led the nation last season
with 17 home runs. Sophomore catcher Lauren
Brenneman also knocked one out in the 13-run third as she
hit a three-run homer. Junior transfer Rachel
Hastings (2-1) picked up the win as she pitched three
innings of scoreless relief. SU had 17 hits in the win.
The Sea Gulls dashed onto the field in game two against
Allegheny College as the rains began to intensify. SU scored one

sophomore Jen Cahall cracked a sacrifice fly to
center field to score Hastings. In the bottom of the fourth inning,
the maroon and gold added two more runs as senior Kurisha
Hoffman and sophomore Brittany Lounge
crossed the plate for the Sea Gulls. The Gulls added insurance runs
