ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The No. 1-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team picked up a 20-8 Capital Athletic Conference victory over St. Mary's (Md.) College on Sunday. 

The Sea Gulls (11-0, 3-0 CAC) started the game off with six straight goals in the first 16 minutes of action. During the run, senior midfielder Beth Rhodey (Fallston, Md.) and junior attacker Logan Bilderback (Arnold, Md.) scored three and two goals, respectively. Over the final 14 minutes of the first frame, the two teams each scored three goals to go into the halftime with SU holding a 9-3 advantage. Junior attacker Trish DiGirolomo (Davidsonville, Md.) had three of her game-high five assists in the first half.

In the second half, Salisbury outscored St. Mary's (2-7, 0-2 CAC) 11-5 to bring the final score to 20-8 in favor of the maroon and gold.

Bilderback led all scorers with a game-high five goals in the contest; the five scores sets a new career-high for the junior. Rhodey finished with four goals, while senior midfielder Jessica Chmielewski (Woodbine, Md.), junior midfielder Aileen McCausland (Phoenix, Md.) and freshman attacker Maggie Roundy (Ijamsville, Md.) each scored two goals. Senior attacker Kim Cudmore (Bel Air, Md.) finished with five points on the day, as she scored one goal and dished out four assists. SU head coach Jim Nestor played three of his four goalies in the contest, with junior Julie Ann Caulfield (Drexel Hill, Pa.) earning the win as she finished with four saves. Freshman goalkeeper Keli Berkman (Salisbury, Md.) staved off a career-high eight shots in 22 minutes of action.

The Sea Gulls will continue CAC play this Wednesday afternoon against Wesley College at 4 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
