Box Score

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Salisbury University volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking 3-1 decision to Capital Athletic Conference opponent University of Mary Washington on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles (13-5, 3-0 CAC) got the first game victory, 25-17, in a highly competitive match which lasted nearly two hours. Salisbury (10-6, 1-2 CAC) answered back in the second game with a 25-21 win to knot the match up at one apiece entering the pivotal third game. The Eagles would go on to win that set, 28-26, but it certainly was not without a fight from the maroon and gold. A 25-16 fourth game victory gave the Eagles the match.

Sophomore Carley Todd led the Gulls in the effort, notching eight kills and a team-high 14 assists. Classmate Chelsea Glowacki chipped in eight kills of her own.

Freshman Jacki Kaluzny also impressed on the court, registering a team-high 22 digs; it tied her career-best effort. Sophomore Kelly Vieira wasn't far behind, posting 16 digs. Junior Lindsey Saltzman provided her teammates with 13 assists.
