Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – Sophomore Sam Seifert recorded a match-high 13 kills as the Salisbury University volleyball team swept Marymount (Va.) University, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-16), at the Verizon Sports Arena Wednesday.
The win for Salisbury (18-1, 5-0 CAC) is its 12th consecutive while Marymount (5-12, 0-5 CAC) fell for the fourth time in six matches.
The Sea Gulls held the Saints to a .030 attack percentage (25 kills, 22 errors, 99 total attacks) while hitting .230 (41 kills, 18 errors, 100 total attacks) themselves.
Junior Kelly Vieira tallied eight kills, nine digs and a match-high-tying two service aces. Classmate Carley Todd finished with a match-best 23 assists and freshman Michelle Meehan had a match-high 13 digs.
Erin Allison led Marymount with eight digs. Melissa Warren had 22 assists and Michelle McCormick had 11 digs.
SU returns to action Friday on the first day of the CNU Invitational. The Sea Gulls face the University of Mary Washington in an non-conference tilt at 5 p.m., and then play No. 11 Juniata College at 2 p.m., and host No. 6 Christopher Newport University at 4 p.m., on Saturday.
