EWING, N.J. – Sophomore Josie Hildebrand recorded 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, blocked three shots and had three steals for the Salisbury University women's basketball team but the Sea Gulls' three-game winning steak ended at the hands of The College of New Jersey, 61-49, at Packer Hall on Saturday.

SU (5-4) saw its longest winning streak since the start of the 2009-10 season snapped.

Freshman Lexi Kebetz drained a three pointer to pull within 17-16 with 8:27 remaining in the first half before the Lions made a run to lead, 33-16, at the half.

The Sea Gulls used a 7-1 run early in the second half, capped by a Hildebrand three-point play with 14:18 left, to cut the deficit to 38-25. After TCNJ's Kelsey Kutch sank a layup, Hildebrand tallied five straight to move SU within 10 at 40-30 with 12:04 to play.

Junior Katie McGahagan hit a layup of her own to again get to within 10 at 44-34 with 8:55 left but Kelly Roddy knocked down a three pointer on the next possession and the Lions never looked back.

Kebetz and freshman Anna Hackett each had nine points for Salisbury while Kolakowski finished with seven. Junior Cinthia Ruiz posted six points and a game-best four steals, as the Sea Gulls were limited to 17-of-53 (32.1 percent) from the field.

TCNJ (7-4) won its second straight as Jessica Imhof scored a game-high 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting. Kutch had 12 points and eight boards and Liz West had 10 points and five rebounds.

SU returns to action on Jan. 4 against the University of Mary Washington at Maggs Physical Activities Center. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
