Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 1-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team picked up an 18-7 Capital Athletic Conference victory over visiting University of Mary Washington on Wednesday at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Sea Gulls (5-0, 2-0 CAC) have now captured 60-straight CAC victories, dating back to a win on March 3, 2003.
Wednesday's game featured balanced scoring for the maroon and gold, as senior attackers Logan Bilderback and Trish DiGirolomo (two assists), plus junior midfielder Alyssa Fowler and sophomore attacker Roxanne Raab each scored three goals. Sophomores Katie Bollhorst (two assists) and Lauren Feusahrens each netted a pair of goals in the victory.
The Eagles (4-3, 1-1 CAC) received a game-high four goals from Catherine Kennedy, while Keller Torrey chipped in with three assists.
SU senior goalkeeper Julie Ann Caulfield notched her fifth win of the season, as she staved off four shots in 52 minutes of action. Freshman goalkeeper Ashton Wheatley appeared in the net for the final eight minutes, finishing with two saves during the span.
Danni Guigli put in an impressive performance in the net for Mary Washington with 11 saves in 60 minutes of action.
The Sea Gulls will hit the road for a non-conference contest at Washington & Lee University this Saturday at 1 p.m.
