Box Score 2 YORK, Pa. – Bolstered by junior Carley Todd's second and third consecutive triple-doubles, the Salisbury University volleyball team defeated the University of Rochester, 3-2 (25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-10), and Moravian College, 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18), on the opening day of the York College Spartan Invitational at Wolf Gymnasium Friday.
Todd finished with 10 kills, 22 assists and 11 digs against Rochester and 13 kills, 18 assists and 13 digs versus Moravian.
SU has now won eight straight matches.
In the first match of the day, sophomore Sam Seifert was the only other Sea Gull in double-digit kills with a team-high 12 against the Yellowjackets. Junior Kelly Vieira recorded a team-best 13 digs while senior Lindsey Saltzman added 17 assists.
Against the Greyhounds, junior Jenna Shay chipped in with nine kills and junior Chelsea Glowacki and Vieira each had seven.
Freshman Michelle Meehan led a group of four Salisbury players with double-figure digs with 20. Glowacki tallied 12 and Vieira had 10.
SU faces Rowan University at 10 a.m., Saturday followed by an opponent to be determined at noon.
