Box Score

SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 11 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team rolled to a 25-3 victory against visiting Wesley College on Wednesday night at Sea Gull Stadium in Capital Athletic Conference action.

The Sea Gulls (7-3, 1-1 CAC) came out firing, scoring the game's first nine goals, holding a 8-0 lead through the first 15 minutes of play. The defense was equally as solid not allowing a Wesley shot until 9:38 was remaining on the clock in the second quarter with Salisbury holding a 9-0 lead.

Five different Sea Gulls scored the first five goals for Salisbury, and Cross Ferrara found his second of the day to push the lead to 6-0 with 4:01 left in the first quarter.

Jarrett Bromwell and Troy Miller wrapped up the scoring in the first period, with Bromwell's tally coming in a man-up situation. The Sea Gulls were 5-of-7 on man-up opportunities in the game.

Pierre Armstrong got on the stat sheet with Salisbury's ninth goal of the day, as part of a career game for the sophomore. Armstrong finished with three goals and four assists for a team-high seven points in the victory.

Wesley (2-6, 0-1 CAC) scored its only goal of the first half with 9:17 remaining in the second quarter, but Salisbury scored the final four goals of the first half to hold a 13-1 lead at the break.

Josh Melton opened the second half with a man-up goal before the Wolverines got their second goal of the game, scoring an unassisted goal 90 seconds into the third quarter.

Sophomore Brandon Warren earned the win in net for the Sea Gulls, making one save in his 30 minutes of action. Chandler Dabbs and Kyle O'Neil each saw time in net in the second half, with O'Neil making one stop as Wesley scored one goal in the fourth quarter.

Salisbury went 25-for-30 on faceoffs in the game, with T.J. Logue leading the way with his 9-for-12 effort and grabbing nine ground balls. Brett Malamphy was equally as impressive from the face-off X going 10-for-10 while also picking up five groundballs.

Along with Armstrong's seven-point day, Bromwell, Melton, and Corey Gwin each notched hat tricks. Gwin added three assists while Melton had a pair.

The Sea Gulls are back at home on Saturday, March 31 hosting Southern Virginia University in another CAC contest beginning at 2 p.m.
