Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – Kaylee Otlowski recorded her seventh double-double of the season and the Salisbury University women's basketball team defeated St. Mary's College of Maryland to pick up its first Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) victory on Saturday afternoon, 82-55.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After surrendering the first basket of the game, Kaylee Otlowski's layup on the ensuing possession kicked off a 10-4 Salisbury run that concluded with an Emily Dilger jumper with 5:24 remaining in the first quarter for the 10-6 lead.
- The Sea Gulls continued to control the rest of the quarter, outscoring the Seahawks 13-3 in the final five minutes to build a 23-9 lead. Catherine Gibson and Dalina Julien's three pointers helped lead the Salisbury run.
- St. Mary's scored the first five points of the second quarter to get back to within nine points at 23-14, but another 11-2 run put Salisbury up 34-16 with 4:15 remaining in the half.
- The Seahawks finished the half with a 9-3 run, but Salisbury headed to the locker room with the 37-25 lead.
- Still up by 12 with two minutes played in the third quarter, Lauren Fortescue answered a St. Mary's three-pointer with one of her own moments later to keep her team ahead 42-30.
- Gibson and Jada Welbon each drained a pair of threes in the final minute to cap another dominating scoring run for the Sea Gulls, putting them up 69-42 at the end of three quarters.
- Salisbury built a 30-point lead at 74-44 with 7:50 remaining in the game on a Kolby Brown layup. The Seahawks out-scored the hosts in the closing minutes, 11-8, but the game was already well out of reach as Salisbury held on to pick up its first CAC win of the season, 82-55.
GAME NOTES
- Kaylee Otlowski had one of her best performances as she picked up her seventh double-double of the season. The forward led the team with 16 points,16 rebounds, and six assists, while also tallying a game-high three blocks.
- Lauren Fortescue was sharp from outside, going 3-for-5 from long-range to add 15 points, four assists, and three steals.
- Emily Dilger finished the afternoon just a board shy of her own double-double, pulling in nine rebounds to go with her 12 points.
- Jada Welbon also broke double-digits in scoring with 10 points, including going 4-for-6 from the field.
- Salisbury topped St. Mary's in all scoring categories, going 33-for-71 (46.5%) from the field, 8-for-19 (42.1%) from three-point range, and 8-for-15 (53.3%) from the foul line. The Seahawks were held to 35.2 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from three-point range, and 51.9 percent from the stripe.
