Box Score YORK, Pa. – The Salisbury University women's basketball team traveled north on Wednesday night to square off against Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) rival York College (Pa.), but couldn't hold on to a fourth quarter lead as a late offensive surge handed the Spartans the 60-53 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After falling behind 10-2 in the first quarter, Salisbury battled back to cut the York lead down to 12-10 behind an 8-2 run to end the quarter. A highlight of the run came when Kaylee Otlowski converted a fast break lay-in after a Kylie Webb steal.
- York extended its lead back to double-digits, 22-12, in the middle parts of the second quarter. Once again, Salisbury locked the York offense down to get back into the game. Salisbury ended the second with a 15-4 scoring run to take a 27-26 lead into the half. During the Salisbury run, the team shot 6-of-9 from the floor and held York to no made field goals in the final 6:12 of the half.
- The Sea Gulls opened the second half hot with back-to-back baskets to open the third quarter. After a York turnover, Amber Onyekwere drained a three to open the half. On the ensuing possession, Onyekwere pulled down the offensive rebound and found Lauren Fortescue for a jumper.
- Salisbury extended its lead to as much as 10 points, 40-30, behind a steal and fast break layup at the other end by Jada Welbon with 3:50 remaining. However, York closed out the third period with a 6-2 run to cut Salisbury's lead to 42-36 with 10 minutes left to play.
- The Spartans' Molly Day drained a three just 12 seconds into the fourth period to kick off a 10-3 run that put York ahead, 46-45, with under seven minutes to play.
- The lead changed hands two more times over the following 90 seconds of play, but a layup by York's Kayla Ferris with 5:21 handed the Spartans the lead for good. York closed the game with a 14-6 run, picking up the 60-53 victory.
GAME NOTES
- Amber Onyekwere sank a game-high 13 points in the loss, adding six rebounds, four steals, and two assists.
- Kaylee Otlowski recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
- Emily Dilger finished a board shy of her own double-double, pulling in nine rebounds while adding 10 points.
