Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Salisbury University men's basketball team rolled to a 76-57 win on Tuesday over the Gallaudet Bison, thanks in part to a dominant double-double by Jordan Oates.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams traded the lead back-and-forth throughout the early goings. With the game knotted at 9-9 with 12:35 left to go in the first half, Paul Garcia stepped up and drilled a three-pointer to give Salisbury the lead.
- Following a Gallaudet layup with just under nine minutes to go in the half, the Sea Gulls went on an 8-0 scoring run, capped off by an Oates three-pointer to put the Sea Gulls up 27-15 with 7:05 left on the clock.
- Gallaudet cut the lead to within seven with just over a minute left in the half, but a made jump shot on the ensuing possession by Brandon Craig brought the lead back to 39-30. After a Bison free throw, the Sea Gulls went into the locker room up eight, 39-31, at halftime.
- Gallaudet started the second half hot and cut the deficit down to three, 46-43, with 13 minutes left to go in the half behind three straight makes by Rory Lewis.
- Salisbury put the clamps on Gallaudet and started pulling away. The Sea Gulls outscored the Bison, 30-14, for the rest of the half to give the game its final score, 76-57. Gary Briddell went off for 13 points in the second half while Oates dominated the glass with 11 boards, including nine defensive rebounds.
SALISBURY GAME NOTES
- Jordan Oates recorded his second double-double of the season. Oates tallied 19 rebounds to match a career-high. 15 of Oates' 19 boards were defensive. He also added 14 points and three blocks to his line. Oates is now averaging 13.2 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game through six games.
- Gary Briddell led the offense with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting and 5-of-7 from the line. He also pulled down five rebounds.
- Paul Garcia scored 12 points off the bench. He also grabbed six rebounds and stole the ball twice.
- Brandon Craig and Johnny Fierstein chipped in with eight points apiece. Fierstein also tallied seven rebounds and five assists.
- The Sea Gulls shot 41.8 percent (28-67) from the field, compared to Gallaudet's 30.6 percent (22-72).
- Salisbury also won the battle of the boards with 53 rebounds compared to Gallaudet's 43.
GALLAUDET GAME NOTES
- Corey Smith led the Bison with 15 points and eight boards.
- Brandon Chung also had a solid day with 11 points and seven rebounds.
- Enow Otto Jr. scored eight points off the bench for Gallaudet.

- Salisbury will host the Hood Blazers on Sunday, Nov. 28.
- Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Maggs PAC in Salisbury, Md.
