SALEM, Va. – The Salisbury University men's basketball team went to its third overtime game of the young season but the Sea Gulls prevailed in the extra session, 74-69, over the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels on Friday in the opening day of the Frankie Allen Tip-Off Tournament in Salem, Va.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Salisbury came out hot with a 10-1 run to start the second half, capped off by an Oates trey and a layup on back-to-back possessions to get out to its largest lead of the game, 42-30, with 17 minutes to go.
