GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Salisbury University volleyball team opened serve on the
Nikki Binetti era in perfect fashion, winning all four of its matches at the Battlefield Classic, held on Friday and Saturday at Bream Gym on the campus of Gettysburg College.

The Sea Gulls opened the tournament on Friday with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-17) sweep of Arcadia, followed by a hard-fought five-set triumph over Drew (25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-7). On Saturday SU notched a pair of three-set victories, sweeping Catholic (25-19, 25-11, 25-17) and Bridgewater (Va.) [25-13, 25-21, 25-15].

At the conclusion of the weekend
Amanda Chew and
Grace Rail were each named to the Battlefield Classic All-Tournament Team. Chew totaled 54 kills, 38 digs and six service aces over the four matches, while Rail notched 73 digs, 25 assists and three aces.

GAME NOTES vs. ARCADIA
- Amanda Chew paced the Salisbury attack with a team-high eight kills over two sets. She also added five digs and three assists.
- Jenna Feinauer contributed seven kills against one error on 12 attempts, good for a .500 hitting percentage. She also stuffed three blocks, including one solo swat.
- Gwen Eustace and Brooke Young notched five kills apiece, and Angelina Casserly, Jackie Mitchell and Natalie Uibel each contributed four.
- Young and Blair Pausic shared the team lead with 10 assists. Ella Skye Franks assisted on six kills and landed a team-high three service aces.
- Grace Rail led the back line with 19 digs and chipped in six assists. Mitchell also dug out 11 attacks.

GAME NOTES vs. DREW
- Jackie Mitchell was the star of the match, landing a career-high 21 kills (.405) with 14 digs for her third career double-double.
- Amanda Chew powered 17 kills with 20 digs, good for her 27th career double-double. Chew also picked up three assists and one service ace.
- Angelina Casserly and Gwen Eustace pounded five kills each.
- Brooke Young set up 15 kills to lead the team in assists. Blair Pausic and Ella Skye Franks posted identical lines of 12 assists and two service aces, with Pausic putting the match on ice with a fifth set-winning ace.
- Franks also managed 16 digs for her third career double-double.
- Grace Rail posted a team-high 22 digs to go along with eight assists.

GAME NOTES vs. CATHOLIC
- Amanda Chew pounded a team-high 10 kills (.391) with five digs and two aces.
- Gwen Eustace added seven kills (.385) and three block assists. Angelina Casserly also chipped in seven kills, while Jackie Mitchell added six kills and 10 digs.
- Brooke Young managed 17 assists and six digs. Blair Pausic assisted on 15 kills and matched Young's service line with two aces.
- Grace Rail paced the defense with 12 digs, plus four assists and a team-high three aces.

GAME NOTES vs. BRIDGEWATER
- Amanda Chew again lit up the stat sheet to close out the weekend, registering 19 kills (.395), eight digs and two block assists.
- Angelina Casserly, Gwen Eustace, Jenna Feinauer and Jackie Mitchell each racked up four kills.
- Feinauer swatted away five blocks on the day, including a pair of solo stuffs.
- Blair Pausic led the team with 15 assists, plus nine digs and two service aces. Brooke Young added nine assists and seven digs.
- Grace Rail notched 20 digs, giving her three matches of 19-plus digs over the weekend. Rail also contributed seven assists.
