The Salisbury University men's soccer team soars to the Golden State for the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Men's Soccer Championship, hosted by UC Santa Cruz at Lower East Field in Santa Cruz, Calif. The team commences its tournament run on Thursday, Nov. 2 with a 5 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. PDT showdown against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers.

The Sea Gulls closed the regular season by winning three of their final four contests, including key victories over Christopher Newport and Dickinson, to enter the conference tournament at 7-5-4.
Midfielders Gavin Miller and Brady Young led the Sea Gull attack with four goals each in the regular season. Young leads the squad in total points with nine.
Miller joined freshman forward/defender Dale Gordon on the All-C2C Second Team, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Junior midfielder Alex Floyd stands even with Miller with eight points, while senior forward Sean Barwick also carries eight points into the C2C Championship.
Senior forward Conner Appleby and sophomore midfielder/defender Jacob Rarig have each netted a pair of scores in the campaign.
Salisbury's first-year group has matured quickly in 2023. Three freshmen have started all 16 games for the Sea Gulls, those being Gordon, Josh Williamson, and Jack Schwarz. Gordon is tied with fellow freshman Aden Sabur with two goals on the year.
The Sea Gulls handed Dickinson a 1-0 defeat in the final game of the regular season. Gavin Miller fired the game-winner in the 86th minute to lift Salisbury past the Red Devils.
Mason Jones made a pair of saves across 45 minutes in goal, while Skyler McCarthy tracked down three saves in the final 45 minutes.
The Sea Gulls earned five corners in the win.
UC Santa Cruz hosts the C2C Men's Soccer Championship for the first time in 2023. The Banana Slugs join Mary Washington and Salisbury as the lone teams to host the C2C tournament.
The Sea Gulls are pursuing their ninth conference championship in program history and their first since 2015.

The schedule we played this year was built to prepare us for the conference tournament. On our day, we feel like we can compete with anyone. We are fortunate to have this opportunity and look forward to the challenges that await us.
