SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's swim team handled the Rowan Profs on Saturday afternoon in front of a loud and active crowd inside Maggs Pool, earning a 142-120 win. The Sea Gulls saw one of their own break a pool record as
Maddie Powell set a new mark in the 200-meter breaststroke at 2:46.04.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Guiding Salisbury with a team-high 22 points, Maddie Powell topped the podium twice as she set the pool record in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:46.04) and finished the 200-meter breaststroke at 2:46.04. Powell also picked up a second-place finish in the 200-meter IM.
- The Sea Gull women took first in the only two relays of the meet. In the 200-meter medley relay, Salisbury was led by Emma Schlutt, Samantha Watson, Sadie Hebert, and Lily Griffin. For the 200-meter freestyle relay, the Sea Gulls took the top spot with Schlutt, Kara Graybill, Griffin, and Alexa Hilty.
- Olivia Totaro supported the Sea Gulls with a first-place finish in the 800-meter freestyle (9:42.91) and a second-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle.
- Salisbury finished the meet with six first-place finishes, 11 second-place finishes, and eight third-places.

- The Sea Gulls will rest for a few weeks before hitting the pool deck on Friday, Dec.1 for the first of two days at the Swarthmore Invitational.
- The meet is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Ware Pool in Swarthmore, Pa.
