SPARKS, Md. – Salisbury University men's lacrosse senior midfielder Jack Dowd earned the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III Player of the Week honors after a huge game against No. 19 Roanoke.
Dowd recorded career-highs in both points and goals to help the Sea Gulls erase an early deficit against the Maroons and storm back with an 18-10 win on Saturday. Dowd totaled nine points on six goals and three assists.
It is the second weekly award for Salisbury following Saturday's top-20 win. Defender Thomas Ballard received Coastal Lacrosse Conference's first-ever Defensive Player of the Week nod on Monday.
Salisbury hosts the Scranton Royals on Saturday, Feb. 18. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
