Pappas’ three-setter highlights Men’s Tennis’ victory over Va. Wesleyan

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team continued its weekend series with a 6-3 victory on Saturday over the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Salisbury's second and third doubles teams allowed the Sea Gulls to take an early 2-1 lead in the match. Russell Willenborg and Jhayden Pappas as well as Aron Bursztyn and Jacob Berg cruised in their respective doubles matches.
  • Gianluca Beaujon bounced back from a defeat in doubles action to collect a 6-4, 6-4 sweep over Felix Bevc in first singles.
  • Pappas traded sets in second singles with Hubert Pawara before taking the third set and the match 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
  • Christopher Catan and Gavin Reagle powered through their respective matches in third and sixth singles.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will conclude its weekend set tomorrow with the Catholic Cardinals.
  • The match is scheduled to begin at noon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
