Men’s Tennis caps perfect weekend with sweep of Catholic

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team capped off its three-match weekend with a 9-0 sweep over Catholic on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Salisbury started off strong in doubles. Gianluca Beaujon and Mitchell Desman rolled to an 8-1 win in first doubles over James Earwood and Allan Van Nostrand.
  • Christopher Catan and Aron Bursztyn along with Gavin Reagle and Trey Cody cruised to an 8-3 and 8-4 win in second and third doubles respectively.
  • The singles matches were highlighted by a pair of singles debuts in fifth and sixth singles. Jacob Berg earned a 6-3, 6-1 win in fifth singles over Nathaniel Barish while Tim Holt secured a 6-4, 6-1 win in sixth singles.
  • Russell Willenborg, Bursztyn, Desman and Cody all picked up singles wins in their respective matches.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will take on Gettysburg and Hood in a tri-match on Saturday, March 4.
  • The day begins with the Sea Gulls taking on the Bullets at 11 a.m. before wrapping up with the Blazers at 3 p.m.
