Men’s Tennis collects fourth-straight win with 7-2 victory over Gettysburg

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team rolled to its fourth-straight victory on Saturday with a 7-2 win over the Gettysburg Bullets on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Salisbury got off to a strong start with a win in two of the three doubles matches.
  • In their first time teaming together, Trey Cody and Gianluca Beaujon blanked Matt Rau and Adam Contract, 8-0, in second doubles.
  • Jacob Berg and Aron Bursztyn won their second match in a row with an 8-1 victory over Connor McPartland and Michael Zayneh in third doubles.
  • Bursztyn picked up his second win of the day in fifth singles with a 6-3. 6-4 win over Rau.
  • Christopher Catan highlighted the singles matches with a three-set win over Contract in fourth singles. Contract won the first set before Catan bounced back with back-to-back set wins, including the super tiebreaker, to take the match, 6-7(5), 6-3, 10-8.
  • Jhayden Pappas, Russell Willenborg and Gavin Reagle each won their respective singles matches in straight sets.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will be back in action on Friday, March 10 against its Eastern Shore rival, Washington College.
  • The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. at the SU Tennis Center.
