Men’s Tennis sinks St. Mary’s, 7-2

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team collected a 7-0 win over the St. Mary's Seahawks on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Salisbury got off to a strong start with a 3-0 sweep of doubles.
  • Christopher Catan and Mitchell Desman, and Aron Bursztyn and Russell Willenborg cruised in second and third doubles respectively.
  • Gianluca Beaujon and Jhayden Pappas toughed out an 8-6 win in first doubles over Stephen Alam and Boris Palmade.
  • Pappas collected a 6-2, 6-3 win over Alam in second singles.
  • Bursztyn recorded a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Nick Rohr in third singles.
  • Catan breezed past Keawe Johnson, 6-1, 6-1 in fourth singles.
  • Gavin Reagle battled in the second set with Daoud Alkhalidi but was able to clinch the sweep, 6-1, 7-5.

  • Salisbury will host No. 40 CNU on Saturday.
  • The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
