Women’s Tennis sweeps St. Mary’s, 9-0

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team collected its fifth sweep of the season with a 9-0 win over the St. Mary's Seahawks on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Two of the three doubles matches finished in clean sweeps.
  • The No. 2 doubles team of Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Cooper and the No. 3 doubles team of Hannah Carter and Evelyn Whiteside picked up 8-0 sweeps in their respective matches.
  • In first doubles, Olivia Hall and Katherine Tamesis collected an 8-2 win over Hannah Gorel and Diana Levit.
  • Tamesis and Christine earned 6-0, 6-3 wins in first and second singles respectively.
  • Hall earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory in third singles over Amber Manspeaker.
  • Cooper cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win in fourth singles over Sydney Anderson
  • Leah Osmon blanked Ellie Walter, 6-0, 6-0, in sixth singles.
  • Carter closed out the Seahawks with a 6-3, 6-3 win in fifth singles.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will hit the road on Sunday, April 2 to take on the York Spartans.
  • The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
