Men’s Tennis rolls through York, 9-0

YORK, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team bounced back in a big way with a 9-0 sweep over the York Spartans on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Salisbury cruised in the doubles bouts.
  • Gianluca Beaujon and Jhayden Pappas toughed out an 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles over Tej Laliwala and Evan Stehman.
  • Christopher Catan and Mitchell Desman earned their second doubles win of the weekend with an 8-2 win in No. 2 doubles.
  • Russell Willenborg and Aron Bursztyn picked up an 8-1 win in third doubles.
  • Bursztyn blanked Leinbach in second singles.
  • Playing No. 1 singles, Willenborg collected a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
  • Catan, Desman and Gavin Reagle all swept through their respective singles opponents.
  • Tim Holt closed out the match and the sweep with a 7-5, 6-3 win in sixth singles over Grant Haffner.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will continue on the road on Wednesday, April 12 against the 34th-ranked Mary Washington Eagles.
  • The C2C match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. in Fredericksburg, Va.
