Men’s Tennis falls at No. 30 Mary Washington

Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team fell to the 33rd-ranked Mary Washington Eagles, 7-2, in a Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference match on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Gianluca Beaujon gutted out a three-set win over Rishi Charan Shankar in No. 1 singles, 7-5, 4-6, 10-6. Shankar is the eighth-ranked singles player in the Atlantic South region.
  • Gavin Reagle earned a sweep in No. 6 singles over Peter Lesse, 6-3, 6-4.
  • The doubles teams Beaujon and Jhayden Pappas as well as Mitchell Desman and Christopher Catan battled in first and second doubles but dropped the matches, 8-6.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will host Harford Community College on Tuesday, April 18.
  • The match is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
