Men’s Tennis celebrates seniors with 8-1 win over Stevenson

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team honored graduate student Gavin Reagle and senior Trey Cody before Sunday's 8-1 win over the Stevenson Mustangs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The graduating tandem of Trey Cody and Gavin Reagle earned an 8-4 victory in second doubles over Luka Sanidas and Simeon Smith.
  • Jhayden Pappas and Gianluca Beaujon picked up an 8-3 win over JJ Bonta and Larry Johnson in first doubles.
  • Russell Willenborg and Jacob Berg cruised to an 8-1 win over third doubles over Sathwik Madasi and Adit Glover.
  • Playing No. 1 singles for the first time in his career, Reagle notched a 6-1, 6-3 win over Johnson.
  • Aron Bursztyn recorded a 6-3, 7-5 win over Bonta in No. 2 singles.
  • Christopher Catan rolled to a 6-1, 6-3 win in No. 3 singles over Sanidas.
  • Berg and Mitchell Desman registered 6-1, 6-2 wins in No. 4 and No. 5 singles respectively.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will compete in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, which starts on Friday, April 28.
  • The tournament is hosted by Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va.
