Women's Tennis sweeps Stevenson on Senior Day

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team honored seniors Katherine Tamesis and Elizabeth Christine in a big way with a 9-0 sweep over Stevenson on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Katherine Tamesis and Olivia Hall rolled to an 8-1 win over Toerrienne Emery and Tiffany Njemanze in No. 1 doubles.
  • Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Cooper cruised to an 8-3 win over Jacquelyn Nesbeth and Samantha Zudov in No. 2 doubles.
  • Leah Osmon and Elizabeth Coligan clinched the doubles sweep with the 8-2 win against Kera Skove and Erin Saunders in No. 3 doubles.
  • Christine won her third match of the season at the No. 1 spot of singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Emery.
  • Playing second singles for the first time this season, Cooper collected a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Nesbeth.
  • Hannah Carter breezed by Mackenzie Dicke in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
  • Evelyn Whiteside notched a 6-3, 6-1 win over Zudov in No. 4 singles.
  • Osmon and Coligan recorded wins in No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury will compete in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, which starts on Friday, April 28.
  • The tournament is hosted by Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va.
