NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The fourth-seeded Salisbury University women's tennis team rolled to a 5-0 victory on Friday over the fifth-seeded Pratt Cannoneers in the first round of the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Championship Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Salisbury got out to a 3-0 start to the match in the doubles matches.
• Katherine Tamesis and Olivia Hall picked up an 8-2 win over Sophie Bischoff and Srishti Agarwal in No. 1 doubles.
• Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Cooper as well as Evelyn Whiteside and Hannah Carter collected 8-1 wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively.
• Christine quickly earned a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 2 singles over Agarwal.
• Tamesis cliched the match win with a 6-1, 6-3 over Bischoff in No. 1 singles.

UP NEXT

• Salisbury advances to take on the top-seeded and 33rd-ranked Mary Washington Eagles tomorrow.
• The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. if the match is outside.
• If the match is moved indoors, the match will begin at 9 a.m.
